OK, so you are all starting to get the measure of my running - if there is food involved, I'm there.
This time it was about 6.5 miles for a small Bakewell Pudding. I was very slightly faster than last year, but I think I am jinxed with this run. Last year my left foot was really painful afterwards and I could not put weight on it. I discovered that I had athritis in my foot as well as other places and so had to invest in new shoes with more space for my toes! This year, I went over my ankle at about 3 miles, and kept going as it did not hurt too much. Of course, when I stopped it has swollen up like mad and I couldn't even drive home.
There is nothing wrong with the run! It is a tough climb up at the start. Most of the work is in the first half, and then you just have to get down again. Good event and I hope to do it again next year and end up injury free.
